I read a few web-comics, and it is S.O.P. to put an additional joke in the tooltip box that pops up when you mouse over an image that has an alt or title tag…
Firefox cuts these off after 70-ish characters. Safari shows you the whole thing (i.e. I haven’t found one that was cut off yet).
I think this is a new thing in Safari 3 though…
Everything in Firefox is about 2x taller than it needs to be. Vertical Screen Space is at a premium. Every horizontal bar could stand to lose at least 4 px of height… On my setup that would yield 20px more for the website rendering area.
So I have a folder of links called “blogs” and when I find a blog I want to keep checking I will drag it into the folder…
Firefox “helpfully” puts up a tool tip telling me that I can do this.
This tooltip appears directly over the “blogs” folder.
When I drag and drop, the tool tip blocks the link from going into the folder.
I moved my blog folder over, because luckily the tool tip always appears in the same spot (which seems like broken behavior.)
Firefox has forgotten all my logins about once a week for the last month…
I’m doing alright because I’ve gotten better at remembering that sort of thing, but there are a few that I have to get a new password, then reset it…
