I just got back from the Apple Store. My MacBookPro had been shutting down when the processor or hard drive really got cranking (i.e. I was using my computer).
They couldn't figure out the problem, so they gave me a new computer.
It's about 2x the computer I had before.
HD: 80GB ...

When I switched ...

So, Google has finally activated IMAP on my gmail account, so I'm giving it a try with Leopard Mail. It's kinda nice to be able to see my gmail archives w/o searching... We'll see how this goes.
*1. Mail.app is downloading my entire archive right now.

Safari 3 has a cool new button that lets you grab bits of webpages and turn them into widgets.
Usually things like this never really spark anything in me, because I'll think of one thing I would use them for and that thing ends up not working...

First of all... Leopard is much quicker, so the beach ball is a very rare thing.
Tiger (which probably contained all sorts of optimizations to make the beach ball need to appear less often) seemed to change the code that said "display the beach ball" so that sometimes everything would ...

If you recently lost about 10GB of hard drive space on your Mac, it may be because the iDisk just increased it's size (up to 10 GB). If you would like to get this space back, turn off "iDisk Syncing" under the iDisk tab in the .Mac preference pane.

Nice to see Google's applications working.
The one thing that would be nice is "Open all tabs in current window"

The new iPhone commercials look really good. I'm most excited about the ability to find a place nearby with Google and dial that number. My guess is that the iPhone locates you using cell phone tower triangulation. It wouldn't really even need triangulation. As long as you had a signal ...
