Word of Promise Next Generation New Testament MP3 Set

Continuing my reviews of Thomas Nelson products (they send me the product for free):
The Word of Promise Next Generation New Testament MP3 Set (hereafter referred to as WoPNGNT) came to me in a double wide disk tray with 3 CD’s containing the MP3s and 1 DVD with bonus “behind-the-scenes” video content.
The brochure (as is the case with all double wide disk trays) did not have a good place to hang out, so it was just stuck in the front half of the case between the two disks. It was not specific to the MP3 version, hence the one panel titled “Disk Guide” that refers to 20 disks.
One nice thing about the brochure was the panel that laid out a 40 day listening plan, which I followed, but I noticed that the length of audio in each day varied rather widely. Re-folding the brochure so that this panel was visible didn’t sit well, but it was possible.
I only recognized Sean Astin out of the voice actors, so I’m obviously not the target audience, but over all the actors did well. The only exception to that rule was the guy who did Jesus’ voice. I’m not exactly sure how to describe his intonation other than monotonic, robotic or lobotomized. It really got on my nerves.
The translation they used was not the best, but I didn’t notice anything too bad. It was middle of the road.
