Barber’s Violin Concerto
October 11, 2007 – 2:18 pmThis is one of the first 20th century orchestral works (1939) that I have really liked. (I also like Barber’s Adagio, but it doesn’t sound modern, and the Violin Concerto does).
Just a heads up if you woke up this morning and thought “I want to get into more recent orchestral works” and then thought of Webern and his 12 tone noise and were discouraged…
(Mahler’s Titan Symphony is pretty good too)
