God’s Word translation of the New Testament

I will probably come back and read this version’s Old Testament… I like what they did with getting rid of “Christianese” jargon…
I hope to get through the whole bible again once more this year… We will see what happens.

I finished reading straight through for the first time sometime last December. I think seeing you reading through back during the spring, though, inspired me to do it again. I’m just getting into second Chronicles.

Nice… the Chronicles are hard, since a good chunk of them are almost identical to Kings…
I’m reading 15 pages a day which puts me on pace to finish before the year is out…
