Gmail vs. Safari

For me, Safari Version 3.0.3 (522.12.1) does not work reliably with gmail.

Specifically what isn’t reliable? It’s been awhile since I’ve used Safari, I’ve made Firefox my main internet browser of choice on my Mac. Not sure why, but I did.

The reason I mostly use Firefox is because when I click on a “target=’_blank’” link it opens a new tab instead of a new window… (there’s no built in setting for that in Safari).
The problem is that in Safari I click “send message” and nothing happens, unless I push “stop” and try again…

Ohhh, now I remember why I use Firefox. I am an avid user of tabs, so I would have 12 tabs open and if I accidentally click on the X at the top, Safari closes ALL OF THEM. Firefox will ask me, “Are you sure, dummy?” So, Firefox FTW.

Safari asks now… but there is still the “I want everything in tabs and Safari doesn’t” problem…
