Safari vs. Firefox: Tooltips
July 6, 2007 – 7:38 amI read a few web-comics, and it is S.O.P. to put an additional joke in the tooltip box that pops up when you mouse over an image that has an alt or title tag…
Firefox cuts these off after 70-ish characters. Safari shows you the whole thing (i.e. I haven’t found one that was cut off yet).
I think this is a new thing in Safari 3 though…

Have you ever tried using an RSS reader instead of the Safari and Firefox builtin RSS readers? Just curious. I use Vienna for the Mac, and I hear Google Reader is pretty good.

I use NetNewsWireLite for all my RSS needs.
I like it because it syncs with newsgator, so if I ever go somewhere w/o my computer I can still check my feeds.
I was used to NetNewsWire before Safari started doing RSS, so I never got into Safari RSS…

Awhile back, this was mentioned in a newspost at Dr. McNinja, and they also provided a link to download a patch that would allow for full-length tooltips. I can’t find that link anymore, though…
