Best Buy gets a thumbs up.
January 10, 2007 – 12:47 amMy Sony Camera broke a while back.
Later I get an email that I almost delete that ended up being a notification of a class action suit against sony because their digital cameras break. I didn’t do much with it for a while, but I decided to look at it the other day. It ends up I pay for the repair, then send in the receipt and get the money back.
So I go to Best Buy because that is where I got the camera. I tell them “Hey, I bought this at a Best Buy a long time ago.” They look it up (I bought it on my birthday, so I was able to narrow down the date for them to look it up in the computer) and print out the receipt and the service plan that I bought with the camera.
I take the camera to the service center and they send it off to get fixed. Free. I don’t have to deal with the class action form or refunds or anything. They were as easy to work with as Apple and the lines were shorter.
