Flock VI

Ok… I’m back on Flock…

Safari works well when I have a plugin called “PithHelmet”… It is kinda like Firefox’s plugin: “AdBlock” but with a better interface (and it does more stuff like block cookies). The way you set it up is to have Safari allow everything in the security pane (javascript, cookies, etc.) then PithHelmet can block stuff on it’s blacklist and allow stuff on it’s whitelist. For some reason though, even when I turn PithHelmet off (ostensibly)… I have been having trouble with some sites saying cookies are not allowed by my browser, so I can’t log in.

The other tough thing about PithHelmet is getting it to finally accept cookies from like login.whatever.com and whatever.com and allow them to carry over. I usually start out with “allow cookies from this site only” and put a wildcard infront like: *whatever.com, which works sometimes, sometimes I have to say “allow all cookies” which is annoying, especially since it doesn’t work all the time.

Anyway… Flock has adblock, which works, even if I like some things about PithHelmet better… And their photo uploader is better than flickr’s own uploader. (it is faster, and it lets you add multiple tags to a selection of the pictures you are uploading (flickr uploadr only allows you to change the tags for one picture or for all pictures)).
