Sarah Daniels’ Tortilla Recipe

2 c. flour
4 T. butter or shortening
4 t. baking powder
1 t. salt
1-2 c. warm water
Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter until flour and butter are almost uniformly mixed. Form flour mixture into a doughnut shape and pour warm water in center. Slowly incorporate the flour into the water by mixing. (the dough should feel smooth like pizza dough) Let the dough sit for about 5 to 10 minutes, then cut it into the right size for rolling out. Roll out on floured surface. Cook on medium heat until slightly browned on both sides.
