Crichton vs. Grisham

July 16, 2006 – 7:09 pm

I really like Michael Crichton’s books, but every single movie made from his books are horrible (Jurassic Park was alright as a movie, but having read the book, I expected much more. Every other movie has caused me physical pain.) John Grisham’s books are alright, but the movies made from them are all rather good (at least all of the ones I can think of at this moment…)

Isn’t that weird?

  2. I saw A Time to Kill and loved it… then I read the book…. I was sorely disappointed. COMPLETELY fell flat. It’s the only time I know of when I’ve thought the movie was better than the book…

  3. heh… I thought the same thing… I thought it was just because I saw the movie first and I liked the movie’s characters better than Grisham’s description of the characters…
