Road Trip
December 15, 2005 – 11:07 pmI’m on a roadtrip right now. I started in St. Paul with a car full of all the junk that was in my apartment (except the stuff I left with Thomas and Kim in hopes that they may bring it down (or use it)). The plan was to make it to Northumberland PA today (15th) then go to Dave Cantine’s wedding on the 17th. I will probably drive to N.C. on the 18th, drop off some stuff, then to Lexington, KY on the 19th to meet up with Kristi, Dave (Ferrell), Brad, and Jackson before heading back to TX on the 20th…
I was a little sidetracked by lots of ice. I’m in a Holliday Inn right now, hoping I can make it the 150 miles I have left to Northumberland before the wedding.
Another side note: I have my turtle in the car with me, so I have to be a little carefull about temperatures and stuff… He was hunkered down at first, but after Illinois (and the worst pavement so far) he came out of hiding and was swimming around furiously.

dude, a turtle in your car?? I mean, I’ve done a dog, but a turtle is another matter!!
On icy roads, bumpy shoulders and unpacked snow are your friends ;) They can sometimes help you get traction if you start to slide.
