Decalogue

October 3, 2005 – 11:19 am

Ever heard the “Ten Commandments” referred to as the “Decalogue”? It is interesting that the Greeks chose this word instead of something like Deka-entole or something that is more like “Ten commandments.” It might be because the Hebrew doesn’t say commandments. It says “words.” These are the ten words. (Deca-10 logue-words)
