Until then, if you are interested in helping me scratch together ISBN’s of good translations (I’ve just finished the freshman year seminar books) holler and I’ll tell you what I need.

sure, I’d be happy to contribute translation recs… just off hand, THE Russian translators to read are Pevear/Volokhonsky. (Brothers K, Anna Karenina, etc)

I would strongly recommend Anthony Esolen for the Divine Comedy.
