So I tried to invite some people who have gmail to the new google talk, and some went through, but the rest bounced… Then today, I go to look at my contacts, and something weird happened to them. Somehow, a bunch of the emails that Google Talk sent went to the wrong address, like “Schmoe, Joe ” would end up sent to “schmoe ” and now I would have two contacts, one with “schmoe” and one, “Joe ” so at least I didn’t lose any addresses, I just gained abunch of bad ones, and lost the names I had so painfully set up…

So I’d recommend staying away from the “Choose from my contacts” when you are adding friends…
