The ‘K’ is not silent

That’s just great…

For the second time in a couple of weeks, an installer FROM APPLE has hung and caused I/O errors to keep me from being able to boot…

The first time it was the new XCode (2.1, I think, the one that first included X86 dev tools.) I had to wait a while to fix it because I didn’t have my Tiger install disk, and you can’t install an older version of OS X over a newer version…

So I got it all running again, and was installing all sorts of updates and crud, and the Pages.app updater hung. I just hope it didn’t do the same thing the XCode one did, namely corrupting the disk so that I lost all sorts of stuff, including all of my pictures from June.

Am I the only one this is happening to?
