I’ve been using Audioscrobbler for a while, and have been able to see it mature into a very neat website. You download a plugin that uploads the songs that you play to the audioscrobbler site. Their server takes this information and puts it in a database, and uses your listening habits to form recommendations, and also connects you to people who listen to similar music.

They have plugins for:

  • AmiScrobbler (MorphOS)
  • QCD
  • SlimScrobbler
  • Winamp
  • Windows Media Player 9
  • XMMS
  • beepmp
  • foobar2000
  • iTunes (Mac)
  • iTunes (Windows)
