Humane Society is annoying (sorry Dr. A)

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported today that 500 farm-raised pheasants were released yesterday morning at the Rolling Rock Club in Ligonier Township for the benefit of Cheney’s 10-person hunting party. The group killed at least 417 of the birds, illustrating the unsporting nature of canned hunts.”
Soo… the animals cannot escape? Let me dust off my basic math skills ( soo basic that Euclid doesn’t even include it in his Common Notions) 500 is greater than 417… What happened to the other 83 birds? If “sporting” is negatively defined in the first paragraph, where does the Humane Society get off calling this “unsporting”?
